We get right into it! The first fifteen minutes of class begins on the ground working into hips and hamstring postures: (square pose, hamstrings, upright twist) and classic abdominal work to quickly warm the body). In the first part of the standing/warming surya series, there is an integration of lateral flexions of the spine as well hyperextension and flexion, twists, side plank with tree pose option, warrior two into triangle with neck releases, an IT band stretch, half/full (splits) hanumanasana, simple tree pose option to standing folded lotus pose. All those parts you can't quite get into...We end with a backbend sequence locust poses, floor bow, saddle, camel.
