Sept 18: SLOW FLOW + Backbends (Asana Only 60 min) Fave practice of the week!
ADVANCED ANATOMY: HORMONE-THEMED, EMBODIMENT & KUNDALINI CLASSES
•
1h 6m
This practice is excellent for grounding otherwise frenetic energy. We do only a handful of postures in this hour practice - but build heat in a unique way without speed. The focus is on perseverance and breath. Sweat and "tapas" helps to release positive hormones into our bloodstream as a result. A brief focus is brought to the kidneys and adrenals. Hopefully the outcome for you is a sense of wellbeing and groundedness.
Expect only ONE of the following held with endurance: W1, W2, triangle, a twist, half moon. Backbends are the sweet stuff of this practice (half-frog, floor bow, saddle, a "mermaid" pose, two wheels or ankle variation bridges)
Enjoy!

This practice works with the principle of building HEAT...then releasing it. It's a strange but powerful sequence for the spine and disease resistance.
