  • Oct 30: The Layer Theory (Prana) + Traditional Breath + Hips (30 min)

    Today we weave yogic philosophy of the concentric energy model (you, like layers of an onion). The invitation is to welcome in your pranamaya kosha. We do three sets with kp breath, bellows and end with "buzzing bee" breath and hip work.

  • Audible for nurturing sleep, tension & deep rest (29 min)

    This is a part of the men's retreat series, however, anyone can do this practice. The screen is darkened and this is a tension-release practice that may help you drop into sleep. We do a squeeze and relax practice with breath. This is a mindfulness practice as well.

  • Re-Release: Somatic Sweat | Release Tension (60 min)

    Today's practice employs shaking, jumping, leg and glute work, upper body work and releasing tension via intention and breath. Somatic means essentially your body. This practice is infused with a little bit of yoga as well.

  • For the Men #4: 4-7-8 Breath for Tension, Calm & Downregulating

    This is 4-7-8 breath - a part of the men's retreat in Kaslo. It works with heart rate variability by doubling up the exhale, and calming anxiety before bed, a big day, a meeting... it takes a few minutes to kick in. Be patient!

  • Oct 28: Ahimsa (Non Violence) + Traditional Breathwork (31 min)

    This week I'll be sharing some yogic principles and weaving them into our breathwork. Today "ahimsa" teaches us to practice compassion for ourselves as a practice of non-violence. We do 3 sets of kaphalabhati, 2 sets of slow bellows breath and end with alternate nostril breathing.

  • Oct 25: Advanced Breath: A lying down journey + 3 parts breath + Wim Hof)

    This is an advanced practice done lying down with the physiological sigh and Wim Hof breath + longer holds. It is unique in that it is done lying down (with a darkened screen intentionally). This is not appropriate for raw beginners to breath.

  • Oct 27: Basic Spinal Flex & Bellows Breath (31 min)

    This is a breathwork staple that works the spine and shoulders in a therapeutic manner using bellows breath.

  • Oct 23: Surya Kriya for Self-Doubt (29 min)

    This is an intermediate breath practice and a repeat staple practice to the studio: Surya Kriya is one of my first and favorite Kundalini practices that awakens the mind-body connection, shakes off cobwebs and is excellent prep for meditation.

  • Oct 21: Shoulder & Upper Back Flow (53 min)

    Grab a towel or strap. Today is a shoulder opening flow. We take the glenohumeral joint as well as your scapula (shoulder blades). This is excellent for those who shrug, hold tension in the neck, shoulders and jaw...This is a bit of a flow practice but we also hold the poses longer.

    "Amor Fati" is a latin expression for "love of fate" and suggests embracing everything that happens in life.   • Oct 15: Spinal Flush & Flex Breathwork (31 min)

    Today's practice isolates each part of the spine with bellows breath: sacrum, low back, solar plexus, scapulas and neck. We then end with two rounds of Wim Hof breath.

  • Oct 15: Restorative for Distress, Tension & Circulation (26 min)

    This is a restorative practice for the beginning or end of day that is helpful for moving distress, tension in the body/mind/fascia. We tap the body, open the hips, twist the spine, breathe into the gut brain axis and rest.

  • Oct 14: Restorative & Slow Flow Hip Therapy (52 min)

    This practice is mostly restorative poses into the hips and hamstrings with the middle of practice infused with an easy going flow practice....We keep it pretty slow moving when it comes to the flow. We then end with pigeon, virasana a spinal twist and savasana.

    This is a breath practice that also involves some stretches for the hips and hamstrings. It is an advanced practice not suitable for beginners or those needing a gentle practice.

    This is an all-levels practice of breath. We do five forms of pranayama to stabilize the mind body connection: Nadi Shodana, 4 Stroke Breath, Sitali, Ujjayi and Kaphalabhati breath.

    This is a full body practice with focus on spinal strength and suppleness. We open the hips and take the spine in all of its directions.

    This is more of a cooling, down regulating breathwork practice filmed on the heels of a full moon. We use cooling breath, "moon piercing" breath and visualization to evoke calmness around a chosen dream. The invitation is to visualize a dream of yours, notice your inner critic - and do it anyway.
