  • July 16: Groins & Hips Restorative

    Today's practice focuses mostly on the hips and inner groins. We begin with a deeply relaxing belly massage and end with neck releases. Enjoy!

    Legs, hips and glutes...get rid of restless legs. An overall lower body practice.

  • May 25: Hops, Hips and Backbends (Int/Adv)

    A fun sweaty flowy practice including handstand hops, headstand, shoulderstand, wheel pose and pigeon variations.

  • May 10: Yin Yang Hips

    Monday is sometimes hard to get moving! We begin slow and do a handful of yin poses for the hips followed by sometime more heating standing poses. Enjoy!

  • April 26: Honey in the Hips

    A hip practice beginning with three longer holds into "firelog" pose, a long forward fold into the hamstrings. Breathe into your hips into some of my favourite poses that hit all of the sweet spots.

  • May 3: Monday Mood: Hips

  • April 19: Happy Hips Monday

    A series of lunges, psoas work, hip openings and backbends. Intermediate intensity. Have a strap available.

  • March 29: The Iliopsoas Asana + Anatomy Lesson

    We begin with a 3 minute brief anatomy lesson on the psoas major and iliacus. As well as a brief look at the two diaphragms in your body. We then work into your hip flexors integrating this awareness and for some of you, new knowledge. Enjoy!

  • Jan 29: Friday Hips + Pranayama

    This is a usual set integrating shining skull breath with three hip openers. A good one to match with the following restorative class. Enjoy!

    This is a steady paced, nothing-crazy hip sequence. Enjoy!

    Today begins with longer holds into the hips followed by a basic intermediate practice integrating the hamstrings as well. Nothing-fancy-feel-good. Enjoy!

  • Jan 4: Feel Good Flow + Hips + Visual Aid on SNS

    I share a 3 min long clip from a teacher (Dispenza) on the sympathetic nervous system + what the HPA axis looks like. The practice is mainly on your feet: a basic feel good flow into the hips and a few backbends near the end.

  • TOP FIVE HIP CLASSES: From the Archives: Hips + Breath (Mild/ Intermediate)

    Punchy breaths are thrown into this one hour sequence to encourage more of a cleansing action. Into the hips, we go!

    Begins with short tutorial & visual presentation of hips.

    Followed with a deep and delicious hip sequence.

    One hour hip-focused yin practice.

  • Nov 30: IT Band & TFL Anatomy + Asana

    Today's practice is therapeutic one beginning with a quick visual on what and where the IT band and TFL live. The practice that follows works to release and bring blood flow into the TFL, the IT band and whole hip. It is more informative and therapeutic, than it is sweaty.

  • Dec 4: Breathwork into the Neck, Spine and Hips

    We use "shining skull" breath into the neck, into a spinal rotation and the hips. We end supine with restorative three-parts breathing as a segueway into our restorative practice.

  • Oct 8: Head to Hips Yin Practice

    This is a top-down approach to opening the body in a restorative way from the neck, to the shoulders, chest, spine and pelvis we work our way down the body in a restorative manner. Ending with simple breath and kumbhakas (breath holds) to savasana.

  • Feb 11: Balancing & Bird of Paradise

    This practice focuses on one legged balancing postures: airplane variations, tree pose, utthita hasta padangustasana, dancer w/ strap, Warrior 3, half moon/ poets pose, chapasana, standing splits...Bird of Paradise.

  • Jan 12: A Strong Midline w/ Core + Legs

    You will need a block or solid pillow for class. We begin with core work, bridge sets and a vinyasa set with a block, encouraging the entire midline of the body towards balance. We work gradual standing poses into Bird of Paradise, a few backbends, then rest. Enjoy!

  • Jan 11: Slow, Hard and Simple

    There is nothing fancy here but oooh it feels good. Sloooowww. Making simple advanced is my specialty.
